Good day, I hope you’re having a great Tuesday just as I am! This month wouldn’t be complete without a post on this year’s interior design trends! I’ve researched, and have found overarching trends in colors, materials and décor. Enjoy! ♥
This Asian home oozes with jeweled tones. Dark purple and deep blue set the mood of this space with accents of metallics.
For those who aren’t bold with colors, neutrals are safe. You just can’t go wrong with this color scheme. But you would need to layer different textures, patterns, and shades for an interesting look. And plants, as always, complete the look.
But for those who do dare, what about bright, bright pops of hues in accessories?
This home is very playful and exudes a happy, youthful vibe.
Natural – Stone & Wood
In this modern kitchen, the cabinetry is of wood while the island’s counter top is of stone. Stone and wood is a good combination in interiors.
And here’s a rustic take on stone & wood. The wood is raw and unfinished, and the stone unpolished.
Cut glass as vases, glasses, plates, chandeliers, lamps, and the like, are making a comeback in trend. This goes perfect with jewel-toned interiors!
Brass & Copper
Used as accessories in interiors, brass and copper add a touch of elegance to any space.
Wall of frames used to trend — now it’s wall of mirrors! Grouping mirrors together is definitely in this year.
As more and more people become aware of the environment, there’s no surprise natural materials and plants are becoming more and more trendy. I’d love to have a vertical garden in my home! Even establishments are catching on:
Floral patterns, a vintage trend, but this year, with a modern twist!
I love Marimekko‘s floral prints.
